1What cookies are
In short: small files a site saves in your browser.
1.1A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser so it can recognise you from one page to the next. Browsers also offer similar storage, called local and session storage. This policy covers all of them.
2What we use
In short: a few essentials, plus analytics if you allow it.
2.1Strictly necessary. The site can't work without these, so they don't need consent.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
gyd_session | GrabYourDot | Keeps you signed in. Page scripts can't read it. | 30 days |
gyd_consent | GrabYourDot | Remembers your cookie choices (stored in local storage). | 6 months |
__stripe_mid__stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention on checkout and payout setup pages. | 1 year, 30 minutes |
2.2Functional. Small conveniences, kept only for the browser tab you have open.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
gyd-q | GrabYourDot | Remembers the search in your dashboard. | Until you close the tab |
gyd-chat-* | GrabYourDot | Stops the transfer assistant opening twice. | Until you close the tab |
2.3Analytics. Only set if you allow analytics in the cookie banner.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga_ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and how people move around the site. | Up to 13 months |
2.4Advertising. Only set if you allow advertising in the cookie banner. They count how often a Sponsored spot is shown and clicked, and stop the same ad repeating too often.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
nyhi_uidnyhi_* | GrabYourDot (Nyhilism) | Counts views and clicks on Sponsored spots, and limits repeats. | Up to 13 months |
3Your choices
In short: only the essentials run until you say otherwise.
3.1When you first visit, only strictly necessary cookies are set. Your choice in the banner applies until you change it, or for 6 months.
3.2If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a "no" to analytics. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the necessary ones will sign you out.
4Third-party cookies
In short: Stripe and Google set their own, under their own policies.
4.1Stripe sets its cookies on pages where you pay or set up payouts. Google sets analytics cookies only if you allow them. Their own privacy policies explain how they use the data.
5Changes and contact
In short: if we add a cookie that needs consent, we'll ask you again.
5.1We update this page when we add or change a cookie. If a change needs your consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
