Zoho Mail is doing its thing by letting you dip your toes into email hosting without breaking the bank. They got a legit free tier where you can set up to 5 users with 5GB each and still use your own domain. Not many freebies with custom domains out there that aren't a bait-and-switch.

For just $1 a month per user, you can upgrade to Mail Lite, making it one of the cheapest ways to keep your business communications legit. Zoho’s been in the game since 1996, and they’re not some fly-by-night operation. They’re a big name in India, but they still hold it down for the small guys without any private equity strings pulling them.

Now, I gotta say, once you get in, Zoho will try to upsell you into their full suite of products, which might feel a bit pushy if you just want the mail. The admin console looks like it could use a refresh, and if you're big on mobile, their app's not quite on par with Gmail or Outlook. Plus, setting up security protocols like DKIM and DMARC takes more elbow grease than with Google or Microsoft. And if you're not in India, support can be a little sluggish.
